Andrea Valsecchi e Vittoria Vitali sono due studenti dell’Istituto Marangoni di Milano; sulla pagina Facebook di Andrea, avevo notato un breve video che aveva girato con l’IPhone durante l’ultima MFW, e l’ho invitato ad assistere ad un servizio fotografico a Villa Necchi Campiglio, a Milano. Il montaggio delle riprese è fresco e scattante e mette a fuoco – in maniera molto sintetica – alcuni istanti cruciali della giornata di lavoro. Oltre a questo, è possibile ammirare alcune zone della location, che fa parte dei beni culturali del FAI. La Villa è stata realizzata da Piero Portaluppi tra il 1932 e il 1935 per il nucleo familiare composto da Angelo Campiglio, sua moglie Gigina Necchi e sua cognata Nedda. Il mondo dei Necchi Campiglio è quello dell’alta borghesia industriale lombarda, classe agiata, ma anche tenace lavoratrice e al passo coi tempi. A Portaluppi subentrerà Tomaso Buzzi, che, nel secondo dopoguerra, conferirà alle sale un aspetto più classico e tradizionale. La Villa ospita inoltre la Collezione Alighiero ed Emilietta de’ Micheli e, al piano terra, la Collezione Claudia Gian Ferrari di opere italiane del XX secolo.

After I have seen the video Andrea shot on his IPhone during the last Milan Fashion Week and posted on his Facebook page I have decided to invite him  to come to a fashion shooting at Villa Necchi Campiglio, in Milan. He’s been editing a very crisp video, focusing on a few crucial moments throughout the workday. On top of that, it’s possible to admire the location, which is part of the FAI cultural heritage. The mansion has been built by Piero Portaluppi between 1932 and 1935 for Angelo Campiglio, his wife Gigina Necchi and his sister in law Nedda. The Necchi Campiglio were an haute-bourgeois family from Lombardy, modern and hard working members of the leisure class. Tomaso Buzzi succeded Portaluppi after the second world war giving the mansion more traditional and classic feautures. The mansion is also hosting the Alighiero and Emilietta de’ Micheli Collection and the Claudia Gian Ferrari Collection of 20th century Italian art on the main floor.
