La collezione Alberto Guardiani per la p/e 2015 rivisita codici classici in chiave contemporanea, giocando sulle lavorazioni e inusuali mix di materiali. The right intuition. Years ago I had to find an idea to unite the entire issue of the magazine I directed: every two months, the magazine had a single subject that involved every part of it, from the various columns to fashion, up to news and even the horoscope. I was in Paris for fashion shows, and Paul Smith displayed his collection in a swimming pool: chlorine smell, the dives sound, and the idea arrived, water. What I mean is that you can be everywhere, in every circumstance and you can have an eureka moment that solves a little enigma when you least expect it. A scent, a noise, a colour, sometimes can be enough. Who has a mind open to every spark, especially who – like me – has the privilege of having a creative job, can have the right intuition everywhere. Paul Smith was right, when he entitled his volume “You can find inspiration in everything”, and in his honour this week we’ve shot some pieces of cloth among the most brilliant and fascinating that I found in the winter collections. Creatività. Intarsi, large righe orizzontali e fantasie, queste ultime usate anche negli accessori come il boot di Alberto Guardiani: con dettagli in tessuto argyle. O, diversamente, lusso estremo per i mocassini in pelle “specchiata” di Car Shoe.
Inventiveness. Marquetry, large horizontal stripes and prints. Prints are also used in some accessories like the Alberto Guardiani boots: they have argyle textile details. Or rather, extremely luxury shoes like the Car Shoe loafer made in “reflecting” leather.

Alessandro Calascibetta has been active in fashion since the late 80s. He started off his career at L'Uomo Vogue, after that with Mondo Uomo. Afterward, he became Fashion Director at Harper's Bazaar Uomo, and in 2000 founded Uomo which he directed until 2003. Following that, he started collaborating with Rizzoli. Since january 2015 he is the Editor in Chief of Style Magazine, and still remains as Man Fashion Director for Io Donna and Sette.
