SETTE MAGAZINE EN VOGUE IL CAPPELLO VINCENTE PER TUTTE LE STAGIONI
The best hat for every season. Felt hat, cap, beret, Stetson, Panama hat and bowler. There are any kind of it. Up to its varieties with regional origins, like the “coppola” (flat cap). But the hat par excellence is the “Borsalino”, whose name is the name of the company founded in Alessandria on April 4th 1857. The nth conmfirmation of the influence that style and good taste of Made in Italy have all over the world. From Winston Churchill to Gary Cooper, Ernest Hemingway to Gianni Agnelli, lots of popular men have contributed to elevate the fame of the most known headpiece in the world. Borsalino was even the title of a cult movie of 1970 directed by Jacques Deray, with Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo; encouraged by the great success of the first, the same director directed the sequel four years later: Borsalino & co. Today, rather, to be honest since some seasons ago, the hat has come back to fashion. Covering the head, in summer or winter, is en vogue again, even among young people. Go on Instagram and search for the pictures published by the most famous fashion addicteds (or bloggers, or whatever): the hat is a must-have accessory. In this b/w picture by Giovanni Squatriti for the cover of Italian Style a Borsalino hat matched with a Boggi suit.
