Rudy mixes rigor and cashmere. Rodolfo Paglialunga. Called Rudy by his friends, born in 1967, he has been made creative director for Jil Sander last year. His first menswear show, for the current season, f/w 2015, is in my top list; I’d like to buy almost everything. I like the nonchalant way he has to mix wool and cashmere with techno-fabrics, from the leather jackets to the coat-turtleneck, keeping a style homogeneity that’s not so easy to preserve. I appreciate the military rigor, softened by fleecy fabrics that contrast with the symmetrical shape of the outerwear, and the long colored coats. The styling shown in this picture is the most appropriate if you, like me, would like to have a coat like the one designed by Rodolfo Paglialunga: below the knee, double-breasted, rust.
