Finding ourselves thanks to Baudelaire.
The one who looks around with curiosity and perspicacity. The one who catches a landscape’s or an artwork’s beauty and transforms it in a real pleasant moment; a pleasure that has to decant, that becomes the means to express ou
rselves in everyday life. This is what we’ve lost today: the ability of capturing the moment and carrying it with us, inside us. Charles Baudelaire, (below, on the left; on the right you can see a look of Bottega Veneta fw 2015 collection) coined a word, which is untranslatable, that describes that kind of man and behaviour: flaneur. Maybe we should look at what surrounds us with more attention, maybe we should dedicate more time to beauty and reflection. Maybe we should try not to pass too many hours of our lives looking for new apps for our iPhones. We should walk, stroll, watch, enjoy the things we love. And, finding ourselves, maybe something will show us a dimension we’ve forgotten, and a new way of being.
