Tre grandi della fotografia: Stephanie Pfriender Stylander, Toni Thorimbert e Michael Woolley, hanno fatto un casting straordinario e ritratto soggetti tutti diversi da loro vestiti solo in capi denim, restituendo al jeans la sua origine: quella di un tessuto nato per l’ abbigliamento da lavoro. 36 personaggi trovati tra gli Usa e l’ Europa e altrettanti mestieri che, oltre le tendenze, illustrano se stessi e il jeans in un contesto assolutamente autentico e astratto dal tempo. Stephanie ha fotografato cittadini newyorchesi – dal tassista allo chef – mentre Toni ha prediletto gli artigiani fiorentini. Michael, invece, ha concentrato il suo lavoro nella campagna inglese: ci sono il guardiacaccia e il “cestaio”. Three big names of photography: Stephanie Pfriender Stylander, Toni Thorimbert e Michael Woolley.They had an amazing casting and portrayed a lot of different sobjects very different from one another, displayng denim for what it was at first: a fabric used in making work clothes. 36 characters discovered across the USA and Europe, each one represents a different job that shows itself and denim in a genuine and out of time contest, besides the trends. Stephanie shot New Yorkers, from the cab driver to the shef, Toni shot florentine artisans.
